Purpose:
We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Secondary English teacher to lead our English department and deliver outstanding learning experiences across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level. The role combines classroom excellence with curriculum leadership to support academic achievement and a love of language and literature.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective English lessons, differentiating for diverse learners.
Lead and develop the English department (if Head of Department), ensuring curriculum coherence and high teaching standards.
Monitor student progress and implement interventions to support achievement.
Prepare students for external examinations (IGCSE/A-Level).
Promote reading, writing, and critical thinking across the school.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and school life.
Candidate Profile:
Qualified teacher with proven secondary English teaching experience.
Experience with IGCSE/A-Level curriculum preferred.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills (for HoD).
Passionate about English, student success, and international education.
Fluent English required; Spanish desirable but not essential.
